Profile Carpets & Flooring Limited are a small independent family run business who took over an already established premises in 2021.

We take pride in carrying on the amazing reputation of the previous owners and we are very passionate about supplying the best floor coverings in the Essex region.

Our ethos as a company is to go above and beyond to provide our customers with the most up to date knowledge of products and fitting techniques, for both Carpets & Hard floors. This ensures that each job we do is to the highest of quality and standards. Our fitters even tidy up after themselves.

When it comes to our showroom, we hand select each product on display. What’s most important to us when selecting the perfect ranges to show our customers is longevity and value for money.

Being a small shop we feel that we provide a generous range of on trend design and colour options for Carpet and Hard floors. This gives our customers plenty of choice but without being too overwhelming.

We love spending the time with our customers going through all their needs, helping them choose the most perfect floor covering for their home and watching them fall in love with the products. If our customer is happy then we are happy.

For people who are unable to pop into the showroom, we offer at home appointments, where we bring samples to you.

Meet the Team

Martyn

Martyn is not only head honcho but his amazing knowledge on all things flooring makes him our Product expert too.

Martyn started his career in flooring in 2019 selling carpets from the back of his van but he became so passionate about delivering the most quality products to his customers that he expanded into the showroom and now prides himself on having the best quality carpets and Hard floors on display. He has always said he wants everyone to have a home they feel proud of and will give the most knowledgeable, honest advice on how a customer can achieve this for any budget. He goes above and beyond to give the best quality service to all his customers.

Page & Tommy

Not all carpet fitters are created equal and that’s certainly the case for Page and Tommy. Page has honed his craft with over 30 years’ experience in the fitting business and his knowledge is second to none, which is fortunate for Tommy as he has learnt all his skills from his Dad and has become an excellent Fitter in his own right.

They have been a team now for 10 years and are experts in everything, they can really do it all, from stick commercial carpets to Sisal to high end wool carpet with woven backings.

Page is also one of our sheet vinyl fitters, who will finish the installation in your required room to a high-quality finish, the same way he would with your carpets.

Steve

Steve is The Carpet Man with a wealth of experience in both estimating and fitting. He has been in the industry for over 30 years, and he says that his favourite part of the job, which he happens to specialise in, is fitting stair runners. He is perfectionist when it comes to pattern matching and lining the runners up which is why stair runners has become his forte.

Steve worked for John Lewis for over 20 years, and we have very happily partnered with him to provide an at home service where Steve will measure up and show you quality samples in your own home.

Dean & Luke

Dean aka Golden boy and Luke aka Golden boy 2 are our Luxury Vinyl Tile, Laminate & Wooden Floor expert fitters and they have both been working for us since 2019.

Luke started in the industry aged 18 and has over 10 years experience fitting all types of hard floors. Luke is a Wizz at laminate, he specialises in engineered wood and is equally as good with LVT, he says he loves every part of his job from intricate floors to big spaces.

Dean’s dad put him to work at a young age and started teaching him how to fit all aspects of flooring, he has 20 years experience and says he’s favourite part of his job is working with LVT and is always up for challenge. So, if you’re looking for patterned flooring, anything from a Victorian pattern to a Basket weave Dean’s your man.

Freddie and Ralph

Our chief carpet testers, customer greeters and lap warmers.

Ralph has over 5 years experience in customer service and front of house, there is no one better than him to give you that top quality welcome that all customers deserve.

Freddie has over 6 years experience in warming even the coldest of laps and if cuddles while choosing your flooring is needed, he is always on hand to offer his services.

Both boys have been with us since the beginning and are very passionate in the quality of our flooring, especially the carpets. Before we choose to display a manufacturer or brand in the showroom all the samples are tested for comfort by the sleep test or durability using the roll technique. Two techniques that both boys perfected over the years.
